Hein’s Business Advisory Services Expands to Irvine
(January 1, 2009) - Hein & Associates LLP is proud to announce the expansion of its Business Advisory Services (BAS) unit to Irvine, a move that brings a wealth of additional services to the Southern California office.
This specialized group of professionals combines diverse skills in accounting, IT, tax consulting, and business management to help companies examine their operations and systems, finding the gaps that are costing them money and increasing risk.
Scott Appel, Partner-in-Charge of the Irvine office, explains, "We recognize that companies want to boost results through improved efficiencies and adoption of best practices. The introduction of BAS fills the demand for this level of advisory expertise here in Irvine."
The BAS unit was originally established in the Denver office in April, 2007. It will be headed up in Irvine by Carolyn Duffy, who makes the move from Denver, bringing 26 years of tax, audit, and consulting experience with her. Her skill in working with companies to integrate internal audit, SOX compliance, tax and other related activities into a core business improvement strategy allows clients to focus on measurable results.
Appel states, "Many of our professionals have been on both sides of the desk. We concentrate on providing true value for our clients and the BAS unit strengthens our ability to do just that."
Irvine’s BAS unit has already hit the ground running, working with management at Primoris Services Corporation to complete their internal control assessment for year ended December 31, 2008. In that period, controls were implemented, documented, and successfully tested for design and operating effectiveness resulting in no material weaknesses being noted by management.
Primoris is a holding company of various subsidiaries, forming one of the largest specialty contractors and engineering companies in the Western United States. They primarily serve the growing power and energy sectors.
