Hein Represented at ABI Rocky Mountain Conference
(January 23, 2009) - Peter Schulman, Partner Emeritus in the Litigation, Valuation, and Bankruptcy Consulting Services department, participated in a panel presentation at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI’s) 14th Annual Rocky Mountain Bankruptcy Conference. The workshop, entitled “How the West was Won: Trying the Insolvency/Valuation Case-Iridium and Beyond,” addressed issues relating to making valuation and insolvency determination for both public and private companies. The panel also discussed trying valuation and insolvency cases, and the effective presentation of expert testimony.
The panel was moderated by Annette W. Jarvis of Ray, Quinney & Nebeker, PC, Salt Lake City. Additional panel members included R. Bruce Den Uyl, AlixPartners LLP, Chicago; Hon. Jeffery P. Hopkins, U.S. Bankruptcy Court (S.D. Ohio), Cincinnati; Paul N. Shields, LECG, LLC, Salt Lake City; and Anne M. Sidrys, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Chicago.
Mr. Schulman has 40 years of diversified experience as a CPA with a subspecialty in computer systems consulting. His primary emphasis is as a commercial damages and bankruptcy expert, with a subspecialty in computer forensics. Peter also has over 25 years of experience as a testifying expert on behalf of defendants, plaintiffs, trustees, creditors, debtors and the court. Her has gained national recognition as a speaker on topics regarding discounting lost profits and computer applications in litigation, including databases and graphic presentations of complex financial concepts.
