(June 10, 2009) - Larry Schultz, Audit Partner in the Irvine office of HEIN & ASSOCIATES LLP, has been appointed to the California Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (CalCPA) Finance Committee. In this one year position, Schultz will alternate between required attendance at meetings throughout northern and southern California, striving to enhance the Society’s strategic priorities.

Specifically, the Finance Committee, a committee of the CalCPA Council, works to assure the financial integrity of CalCPA. In addition to developing policies and monitoring investment of funds, the Committee recommends policy on budget process and financial information.

Schultz says, "The Society plays a crucial role in the world of accounting. I am excited for the opportunity to not only support CalCPA, but also advocate for members on issues that affect our profession."
