Mitch Hoffman, Partner, Litigation, Valuation and Bankruptcy Consulting Services, Denver Mitch has over 25 years of industry and public accounting experience, and provides valuation and litigation support services for a broad range of clients. His areas of expertise include business and intellectual property valuation, and lost profits and intellectual property infringement damages.
Mitch provides business, intellectual property and other intangible asset valuation opinions for a variety of purposes, including fairness opinions, dissenting shareholder actions, solvency and fraudulent transfer analyses, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, stock based compensation (i.e., stock options), mergers and acquisitions, buy-sell agreements, gift and estate tax planning and reporting, ESOP reporting, marital dissolutions and reasonable royalty analyses. He also renders opinions with respect to lost profits and intellectual property infringement damages.
Mitch is a CPA and holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) accreditation bestowed by the American Institutes of Certified Accountants (AICPA). He lectures frequently in matters related to valuation and was one of two AICPA representatives appointed to the International Business Valuation Glossary Task Force. He was the honored recipient of the AICPA’s Business Valuation Volunteer of the Year Award in 2001, and continues to serve on the technical advisory panel for the AICPA's E-Valuation Alert. Mitch is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and was a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps where he served as an infantry officer and ultimately attained the rank of Major. He received his Masters Degree in Business Administration while still on active duty, and later worked as a financial analyst for a Fortune 500 company prior to entering public accounting. |
